A meseta hamlet that hides in a fold of the plain until you are almost on top of it.

A short history

Hontanas (from fontanas, springs) was founded around its still-flowing fountain. Its 14th-century church bell tower appears suddenly out of nowhere — one of the great pilgrim moments on the meseta.
