Palencia

A tiny adobe village said to have been a Templar holding — and the Camino's symbolic midpoint.

A short history

By tradition, Terradillos was a commandery of the Knights Templar guarding pilgrims on the long stretch between Carrión and Sahagún. It is also widely cited as the geographic halfway point between Saint-Jean and Santiago.
