The last town in Navarra — and where Cesare Borgia is buried beneath the church steps.

A short history

Founded in 1219 by Sancho VII the Strong as a defensive bastion against Castile, Viana's walls and gates still survive. Cesare Borgia died here in 1507 attacking the town for the King of Navarra.
